Action node

Action-node-in-flow.webp

Action nodes in IoT Logic enable automated device control by executing specific commands, for example, when condition validation results from Logic nodes trigger actions. These nodes transform manual fleet monitoring into active automation systems, performing critical operations like output switching and command transmission. Rather than relying on dispatchers to monitor alerts and manually coordinate responses, Action nodes automatically control connected equipment within seconds when Logic nodes detect issues like overheating, unauthorized movement, or harsh driving incidents.

This automation capability eliminates manual monitoring workflows and reduces workforce requirements. Organizations can derive immediate operational control from real-time fleet data while ensuring consistent responses across entire vehicle fleets.

The Action nodes are configured for each flow in the Navixy platform UI. To see detailed descriptions of node setting options and step-by-step instructions, see Action node in User documentation.

The Action node transforms fleet management through direct device command execution triggered by Logic node condition validation. When Logic nodes evaluate data conditions and determine that automated responses are required, Action nodes immediately influence device behavior by switching outputs for auxiliary cooling systems or transmitting commands to prevent unauthorized vehicle operation. This Logic-Action combination allows organizations in leasing, cold-chain logistics, delivery, and general logistics operations to create responsive automation systems that protect assets and cargo without human intervention, deriving actionable control capabilities from intelligent condition monitoring.

Here are the general capabilities of this component:

  • Execute automated output switching within seconds when Logic node conditions are met, controlling connected equipment like auxiliary cooling, alarms, and safety systems based on intelligent evaluation of temperature thresholds or unauthorized movement detection

  • Respond to Logic node triggers by transmitting bulk GPRS commands simultaneously to all involved devices in a flow, providing industry-unique capabilities for fleet-wide responses to validated operational events

  • Support multiple simultaneous actions within a single node, enabling comprehensive automation sequences that address complex scenarios like cold-chain protection or security responses

  • Integrate with all devices supported by the Navixy platform to leverage existing hardware investments without requiring equipment upgrades

  • Scale seamlessly across fleet sizes from 10 to 1000+ vehicles with no performance limitations, ensuring consistent automation capabilities regardless of operational scope

Notes

  • Action nodes work with all devices integrated in the Navixy platform, but users should verify specific device capabilities for command compatibility

  • Commands are sent only to devices that trigger conditions, preventing unnecessary actions on unaffected fleet vehicles

  • Device-level safety measures prevent execution of inappropriate commands, such as engine shutdown while vehicles are moving

  • Action execution occurs within seconds of condition detection, minimizing the risk of device connectivity issues during command transmission
