Event configuration on Howen MDVR

Howen devices may provide ADAS, DMS and other events without video on the platform. Use the state field values alert to get notifications about these events. All event codes are available in two state fields:

  • sub_event_code to trigger ADAS, DMS and inputs triggering;

  • event_code to determine other device’s alerts.

Chose one of them as the state field input and corresponding codes from the next tables as expected values.

We didn’t change these code definitions a lot so they will be exactly the same or similar as described in Howen documentation.

Live example

For example, if we want to get lane departure warning alerts, we should choose alert type State field value:

Live example - State field value alert rule type

And in the settings tab we should use sub_event_code as the state field and 30_2 as an expected value:

Live example - State field and expected value settings

Once the device will provide a packet with sub event code 30_2, the platform will trigger an alert and notify you or your driver.
